Founded in Los Angeles in 2004 by designers Seung Lee and Jui Lee, the name Clu is taken from the French word for nail: clou. A simple, structural detail that holds the design together. Clu is well known for reconstructing the icon American t-shirt, using it’s simple graphical base and pushing the boundaries of form.

Spring 2014 Fashion Show :: Nili Lotan x Dance

Designer, Nili Lotan collaborated with LeeSaar the Company for her Spring 2014 Fashion Show. The performance entitled Dance x "captures and represents the key elements in my designs: simple, pure, effortless and sexy" she says.

Each movement of the dance emphasize the details of the designs, something Lotan says gets lost in a traditional runway show.  This unique performance is testament to Lotan's ability to translate her vision into the world and is not to be missed.

In the film Nili Lotan says "Style comes from within and it is experimental...I hope that will come through the dance." I think she nailed it. What do you think?

While the classic silhouette fits the bill, the thing that makes this dress so great are the subtle details: the gray grosgrain shoulder straps and sweet ruffled trim add the perfect feminine touch. But what sold me in the end were the side slit pockets. Who doesn’t love a dress with pockets?!
